...it's about getting the right stock, to the right place, at the right time and in a Company the size of ours that's no mean feat.
John Lewis Distribution is separated into two main environments. These are our National Distribution Centres (NDCs) which are large operations that distribute to our whole business. Stock is received into the business from suppliers, held and then distributed either directly to our shops or to our smaller, Customer Delivery Hubs.
Our Customer Delivery Hubs (CDHs) are smaller operations that distribute locally to shops or directly into our customers’ homes. Stock is received from the NDCs which is then passed on locally.
The backbone to our distribution network are our warehouses, from where we deliver household, fashion and electronic goods to our customers, as well as our stores, sending out smaller items from our vast array of brands.
Magna Park 3
Separate from the John Lewis Magna 1&2 Units. MP3 holds a multitude of household items, generally with a larger cubic stock profile from Mattresses to Smart TV's, Blinds & Rugs and seasonal items such as BBQ's and Christmas Trees.

Northampton
Based within the Brackmills Industrial Estate and currently undergoing a refurbishment, our Northampton Distribution Centre fulfils Direct to Customer and Store Replenishment orders of various assortment types from Kitchenware through to Artwork and Furniture.

Blakelands
Located in the north of Milton Keynes, Blakelands is primarily a Direct to Customer operation (DTC) providing the fulfilment of Gift Food, Toys, Small Electrical items and Lighting. Blakelands is semi-automated with an auto-bagging machine and a consolidation wall.
